You have no idea what you’ve gotten yourself into?
Hi! I’m Julianne. I was a program director. My orientation consisted of the following: just make sure the state knows you’re holding a class 30 days ahead of time and that’s about it.
WRONG. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Everyone agrees it is REALLY helpful to have a mentor–if you do not have someone you can pick up the phone and call basically anytime, I humbly present myself.
I LOVE to hand out all kinds of “free” stuff to help others avoid the bloody noses I got! I also have a network of connections and may be able to even help you with a contact in your own state.
“EMS Program Director Resilience Project” to the rescue!
So, I got together with a cadre of generous to program directors to generate this starter list for you. You can download it here as a PDF. If you want the active triage tags and process starter tags, just email me and I’ll get you the working excel spreadsheet (email is on the bottom of the PDF).
I’m here to help take as much work off of your shoulders as possible. We MUST get the turnover of EMS program directors under control or there is no hope of elevating our industry even an inch.
Invitation to Contribute
If YOU have developed your own form or guide or tool, and you’d like to share it with other educators, please reach out to us [email protected] and we can host it for you and attribute authorship. What did you have to build which you wish you’d just had on hand? Yeah, that stuff is what we’re looking for.
