Testing Our Platform

Create a free program account

Do it here or if you already have an account, login here.

Visit the User tool, look up yourself, and ensure you have the roles of: Program Director, Clinical Director (to see student PCRs and test the scheduler), and Preceptor (to act as preceptor for the “student” you’re about to impersonate.

The only preparatory thing you really need to do is to add at least one affiliate where your “student” account can attend a clinical or field experience.

Other preparatory things you might wish to do can be found here: New Programs Start Here.

Enroll as a student

The VERY best way to quickly learn how we work. First, use two browsers (Firefox, Chrome, Safari) or 2 devices to allow you to be logged in both as faculty and student at the same time.

Next, use your personal email and a “movie phone number” (area code-555-xxxx) to create a student account for “(your first name) Student” (use your real first name, but use the last name of “Student” so you can easily keep your accounts separated) independent of your faculty account. Enroll it into our free Sample Paramedic Cohort.

Look at what you care about

See how students write a PCR. Use your faculty account as the “Preceptor” to see it from the preceptor end.

Maybe you want to see how Peer-to-Peer lab skills evaluations work?

Or you’d like to see how the credits transfer from the PCR to the SMC? There are four less-than-10 minute videos to help (simply search “SMC” in this Knowledge Base to find them), but this is the most important shortcut: SMC (Part 3 of 3)–Live Shifts

View faculty side

Once a shift has been closed by your “student” account, you’ll be able to grade it from the faculty side in the role of Clinical Director.

If the “student” completes any lab skills, you can find those in the role of Program Director. In this role, you can also investigate settings such as how long a shift is allowed to stay open until the autoclose function is deployed.

See it with REAL Data

The system truly shines when full of real data. Schedule with Julianne to see how it looks with a bunch of student work in there! You’ve now got a dedicated helper in your corner. Never fight alone again.
